Shout out to Wade Hutt! Wade, won the indoor state long jump this weekend. He placed 2nd in both the 55m & 400m! Everyone's invited to our Spring band concert on March 6, at 6:30, in the gymnasium. Our students are working extremely hard as they prepare for the annual KMEA Assessment Concert on March 13-14 at North Oldham HS. The Annual Spencer County All-Choir Concert will be held March 9, at 11 am in the SCMS gymnasium. Everyone's invited to attend this district-wide event which showcases our extremely talented students. We just wrapped up five days of Peer Writing Labs, as we now begin to look ahead to our next learning opportunity, our Math Peer Learning Lab on March 19, periods 2, 3, & 4, from 8:40-11:20. We will pre-brief during 2nd, observe during 3rd, and debrief during 4th. Ms. Howie and Ms. Martin will co-facilitate, Ms. Cindy will provide coverage, and Ms. Gross has and will be sharing our updated Math Learning Walk document. There will be a District Learning Walk tomorrow at SCMS. Administrator's from across the district will visit classrooms, speak with students, and look for best practices. This occurs once per semester in each of our buildings and the academic dialogue is invaluable. We look forward to a great day of learning and growing. Feedback will be shared in our faculty meeting during PLC's on Wednesday. Soccer season is just around the corner. Click here for the girls soccer schedule. Click here for the boys soccer schedule.
